Ana Roca Castro

Ana Roca Castro started her career at Columbia University where she managed educational projects for the School of Public Health. She then led the implementation of Oracle Learning Management System (OLM) for the United Nations. In 2008, Ana started Premier Transmedia to help businesses and organizations achieve their learning objectives via state-of-the-art application development. Ana and her team have developed a series of internal Social Networks, web and mobile apps, social games, assessment tools and educational platforms. Her clients include Kaplan, Nickelodeon, the World Bank and the Department of Education among others.  Ana is a serial entrepreneur, cofounder of Gigcoin, iGiftThanks, Twitclan and Picha Global.

Ana is a social entrepreneur and the founder of Latinos in Tech Innovation and Social Media (#Latism). An organization dedicated to the empowerment of the Latino community in the areas of education, health, technology and business through the use of tech innovation and social media. She is also the publisher of Plaza Familia. A national multiplatform/bilingual publication for Latino parents, teachers and students. The Plaza is also offers fun, educational games, videos and academic support for those who seek culturally relevant content base on the Common Core State Standards.

Ana’s most important role is to be a mom to three energetic and creative boys and a 3-year-old geek princess. Ana’s priority will always be to raise happy kids who see the beauty in diversity and understand the need to change the world – one cause at a time.
